What is it?

CreatorSide.io is the last of three things I'm announcing.

If the YouTube courses I've made are tiny houses, then CreatorSide is the "big city" I'm building.

It's a website that I want to be one of the most useful resources for YouTubers ever. Or, if not that, then at least super duper helpful to one person whose channel improves significantly because of its existence.

The CreatorSide Stack: What's Inside

There's four main parts:
1. My own YouTube newsletter/essays in the CreatorSide.io newsletter
2. YouTube courses I make
3. YouTube tools I make
4. CreatorSide AI

Newsletter/Essays

As you know if you see this, I write a lot of stuff on X, and I likely will continue to.

But I do want to have a space that's really nice to look at design-wise, where I can publish longform articles and transcripts.

I'm planning for all essays on the website to be pushed to the newsletter.

Courses

The courses I make will mostly be YouTube related, since that's what I've been spending a ridiculous amount of time on in the past few years.

I'll slowly try to cover many aspects of YouTube, rather than just storytelling (even though I really love storytelling).

That said, I may cover other things that may be interesting to creators as well. It would be a bit of a meme to make a course on growth on X, but that might be a fun one if people are unironically interested in that.

Tools

I've always like the idea of making useful little YouTube tools that help me make things faster or analyse videos faster.

In fact, I do this internally, but I've just never published them in any usable format. So if/when I do, they'll go onto CreatorSide.

Beta tests will always go out to the newsletter first, though, if/when I do make them. There's a waitlist on the website if you want to sub to that.

That said, the focus for me after launching this website now is going to be on the Dabi's YouTube Analyses channel, which has been neglected for years (lol).

CreatorSide AI

You might think this is AI tools...and I'll likely make AI YouTube tools at some stage too, but...

This section of CreatorSide will be more about some more advanced usage of AI. For example, courses on prompt engineering, coding, or design. This will be the one bit that's not really as creator-focused, but will be connected to some other projects of mine.

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF PROMISES, DABI. ARE YOU SURE YOU CAN KEEP THEM ALL?

...it is a lot. Therefore...I promise nothing!

These are just the ideas I have for what I want CreatorSide to be, and these ideas may change a lot over time.

This tweet is not just an announcement tweet. Not really. Rather, it's a small diary entry for some of the hopes and aspirations of what I want this cool thingy I made to eventually become.

Being a doctor and being a creator requires two wildly different approaches to life.

When I treat patients, I want to make sure I get as much as possible right, as efficiently but as safely as possible. A certain standard of perfection is required, because people's lives depend on you - very literally. I'm constantly double checking my work, rethinking through things to make sure there's nothing I've missed.

In short: in medicine, carefulness is a virtue.

Being a creator doesn't operate like that. In creating things, too much carefulness is a hindrance.

To be a creator means understanding that the only way you can make better things, is to experiment and fail a bunch so that you can get better data and intuitions for things.

I've never made CreatorSide before, so I have *no* idea what the best version of it is. It will be opinionated and arbitrary.

But I'm just making something that I really really like. If it becomes a successful business in its own right, that's super cool. I'm just gonna do my best to figure it out, improve it bit by bit, and maybe one day it will become something really great.

So, hope you don't mind whilst I figure out the details. :)
